Old Business

  • Who we are and what we do! focused on making a robust community, being on top of maintenance, and fostering goodwill among neighbors.
  • Vintage Lawn Party – Great weather, amazing turnout. we hired 1 task rabbit to help with the dance floor. 3 people is the right amount to move the floor. Lots of people wandering through, very happy, wholesome time. Next year would be good to have 2 food options. (charcuterie truck – check with Hawthorne from 100 party) Potentially partner with Greater Boston Vintage Society to run the event.
  • Website Updates – it is done! missing some of the previous minutes, working to get them restore. Contact form goes where?
  • Recent Updates from Caroline/Lucas Miller RE: Safety, WSE – Big Rock Day on the Salem Common – Rocks to be used as a deterrent wherever there are deficiencies in the fence. Need to keep the Winter street entrance open for vehicular access to the common. Likely CC will use vehicles to block entrance when not in use. Push to start conversation over how to maintain the fence better.

Board/Chair Reports:

  • Tree Removal – 3 large trees removed, does the SCNA want to spend money for regular planting of trees. Who advocates for regular tree maintenance?
