Old Business: 

  • Movie Nights – last movie wasn’t super well attended. Better advertise rain dates? Great choices otherwise. Definitely check school calendar and work backwards. maybe 2 rain dates again
  • Block Party – well attended and good time. Still need to move toys to storage unit. Maybe also do a storage cleanup.
  • Yoga Feedback – more rain dates?
  • Website Updates: Ready to publish next week! related: lots of spam bounces to events@, will contact name cheap.

SCNA Events: Jordan Santiago 

  • Lawn Party 9/14 – All Hands on Deck. Milo will send out volunteer signups soon
  • Mayors Night out – Someone needs to reach out to Jeremy to get on the list?
  • Holiday Concert 12/14 – milo will work with Jordan to get the ball rolling
  • Holiday Common Decorating 11/30 – contact Jane to see if she will take point on decor procurement

New Business: Micah

  • NIAC Meeting Notes: No meeting last month
  • SCNA will start to build criteria and guidelines for giving a scholarship to a graduating senior. Will consider best ways to select a deserving recipient.
  • Anyone you would like to hear speak at one of our Board Meetings? Thinking Chief Miller for pre-halloween season meeting?
  • Looking at 2026 – will likely try to do a day at the parking lot on bridge street as a fundraise in lieu of selling candy on the common during KFF
  • Candidate forum on Monday 9/8. Micah and Milo will “staff” the table
